Abbreviations and other conventions
used in this book

 

The size of each bronze coin is indicated with the common Æ denomination
 Example: Æ 2 (indicative number of its diameter)

Æ 1

-  Over 24 mm.

Æ 2

-  Between 21 and 24 mm.

Æ 3

-  Between 16 and 20 mm.

Æ 4

-  Below 16 mm.


The legends of the coins are in darker letters and keep the separation they have in the coin.

Obverse legends: DNFLCLIVLI  ANVSPFAVG
Reverse legends: PROVIDEN  TIAEAVGG


The legend is separated with "/" when it is written in several lines

Legend in two lines: VOT / V
Legend in four lines: VOT / XV / FEL / XX


The uncertain legends are showing with [... ]

DNVALENTINIANO [... ]


The latin meaning of each legend is indicated in brown cursiva letter.
